2027 Women's Volleyball World Cup: 18 teams qualify, race still open

The first phase of qualification for the 2027 FIVB Women's Volleyball World Cup has concluded after all five continental championships finished. Eighteen of the 32 participating teams are now known. Defending champions Italy, co-hosts Canada and USA, along with Argentina, Brazil, Cameroon, China, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Japan, Kenya, Poland, Puerto Rico, Serbia, Thailand, and Turkiye have secured their spots. Each confederation received three berths through their continental qualification events. NORCECA qualifiers were Cuba, Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico. Asia will be represented by Thailand, China, and Japan. Africa's qualifiers are Egypt, Kenya, and Cameroon. Europe will send Serbia, Poland, and Turkiye. South America's qualifiers are Brazil, Argentina, and Colombia. The remaining 14 spots will be decided later through world ranking and additional qualification pathways. The 2027 World Cup promises to be a highly competitive event, with top teams from every continent. For Vietnamese volleyball fans, the tournament is an opportunity to follow world-class teams and learn from their development. Although Vietnam did not qualify from Asia, the team can continue to improve and aim for future World Cup appearances.
